What is IQ?
The average IQ is 100, this data is based on multiple online surveys and meta-analysis studies. The average IQ is a range between 85 and 115. The majority of people score somewhere around 100, which is the median. A score that is one standard deviation above the median (85 to 115) is considered normal intelligence.
An IQ score is a comparison of how well a person performs on an intelligence test to how well the average person in the same age group performs on the same test.
A score above 140 puts you in the top 10 percent of the population; scores below 70 are considered evidence of a learning disability. Scores between 70 and 140 are average.
